Nurturing hearts and minds
on a path of possibilities

Out of School Clubs

Parents and children's questionnaire responses:

After school club parents and children are given a questionnaire every year, here are some of the comments from our latest one-

"I feel my children are safe".   "The staff are very welcoming, friendly and approachable"  "I really like the food"  "I love coming to after school club"   "My child never wants to come home" "My child is always busy when I come to pick him up, he is always happy even after a long day"

Pinvin After School Club where our aim is to create a home from home for your children. Whether your child needs to relax, do homework or join in with some fun activities, we plan for everything and always get the children's input; from cooking, arts and craft, science experiments, to using construction toys, puzzles & games, forest school sessions and so much more.

We aim to treat every child as an individual so the children can make their own choices in a fun, safe environment. Weather permitting, we will always make use of the outside areas including the playground or the sports field to let off some steam under adult supervision.

We always celebrate festivals from around the world with parties and craft sessions.

Due to our popularity and increasing numbers we now accommodate different age groups in different settings. Preschool to Year 3 continue to use the Memorial Hall for ASC; Year 4 and middle school children use the school library building as their base where age related activities and outdoor options are planned.

During your child's stay with us they will be be given a drink and light snack as they arrive, such as fruit; carrot/cucumber sticks; bread sticks; raisins. If they're stating until 6pm they can choose from a choice of a home cooked main meal or a light alternative. A typical week's menu will be:

Monday Shepherd's pie and vegetables or Tomato soup and roll with fruit and/or ice cream.
Tuesday Vegetarian lasagna with garlic bread or Beans on toast and apple crumble and custard or fruit.
Wednesday Chicken Curry and rice or crumpets with choice of toppings and yogurt or fruit.
Thursday Pizza and salad or sandwich with choice of filling and chocolate or strawberry mousse or fruit.

All food is home cooked and locally sourced where possible. We take any allergies extremely seriously so do please let us know when you complete the ASC registration forms. We try to accommodate food preferences but always encourage children to try before rejecting what's on offer.

If we have the space then your child has a place, whether you want weekly child care or a one off from time to time, we aim to be fully flexible. Due to our flexibility, costs may vary so please contact us for details.
