Meet the Team

All the team at Pinvin Community Pre-school are committed to giving your children the very best early years experience. All staff are paediatric first aid trained and fully supported to further their knowledge and experience through further study and learning opportunities.  This ensures we are up to date with all themes associated with early years to improve the quality of care and education for all the children and families in our care.

Our Team

Zoe Corfield

Manager

Finance administrator

As manager Zoe has a keen interest in the mentoring of staff and loves nothing more than seeing the faces of children and adults light up when they learn or experience something new. Zoe is due to start her Early years initial teacher training qualification in September.





Highest Qualification: BA Integrated working with Children and Families: First class honour's


Jenny 

Deputy Manager

Room leader Oaks

Jenny is a keen advocate for children and adults mental health and well-being. Jenny leads our curriculum with a passion for the great outdoors and connection with nature. Jenny is due to embark on the Early Years foundation degree in September. 






Highest qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator: Distinction

Bobby 

Designated Safeguarding lead SENCO Support

Bobby has many years of experience working in early years having previously managed her own settings. Bobby has a keen interest in early communication skills and supports the SENCO in delivering the SEND provision. 

Bobby is having a rest from study and putting her knowledge into practice in her DSL role after recently graduating.



Highest qualification: BA Integrated working with children and families

Tracey 

SENCO

Deputy DSL

Tracey has many years experience supporting children and families with speech and language difficulties. Tracey's sensitive approach ensures all children receive tailored support whilst supporting parents and the team to ensure no child gets left behind. Tracey is embarking on her top up  this year to achieve a full Bachelor of arts degree in early years.


Highest qualification: Foundation Degree Arts in Early Years

Amber 

Early years Educator

Amber works very closely with families to understand the routines for each child, ensuring the transition into pre-school is smooth. Amber also has the useful ability to recognise all children's belongings! 

Amber is currently studying for her level 3 qualification.







Highest Qualification: Level 2 BTEC Children's play, learning and development 

Lyndsey 

Early Years Educator

Lyndsey is one of the newer members of the team with a passion for the great outdoors. She has many years of experience as a childminder and really values quality relationships with children and having the freedom to follow children's interests. Lyndsey is currently studying for her level 3 qualification





Highest Qualification: Level 2 NVQ Children's care, learning and development

Olivia 

Early Years Educator

Room leader: Maples

Olivia has recently completed her level 3 qualification and runs our Maples space who care for the younger children. Olivia has a sixth sense as to where she needs to be and which children need support in the setting. She fluidly moves between children to ensure all are supported. Her gentle nature allows her to sensitively support children in their learning without imposing on their play.


Highest Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator: Distinction

Paige 

Early Years Apprentice

Paige has a wonderful way with the children and can often be found singing or reading to them. She has a wonderful ability to think on her feet and has an array of activities and games at her fingertips to delight and engage the children. Paige is currently studying for her Level 2 Early Years Educator qualification. 

Becky 

Early Years Apprentice

Becky is new to early years but has a thirst for knowledge and is currently studying for her level 3 qualification. Becky has a keen interest in expressive arts and is happiest creating with the children, leading music and movement sessions or indulging in some yoga or similar mindfulness activities.

Leah

Early Years Apprentice

Leah is the newest member of the team having chosen to pursue a career in childcare after studying social care at college. In her spare time Leah supports her local brownie group so we are excited to see what exciting activities she can adapt to the early years. 

Victoria 

Chair of Preschool Committee

Victoria is the current chairperson, responsible for the team of trustees who help to manage Pinvin Community Preschool.

Victoria is passionate about allowing children freedom to explore, build confidence to be their true self and connect with nature.

The role of a Key person

On registration with us, each child is allocated a key person, the role of which is to help your child form a strong relationship with someone in the setting to create that security to enable them to flourish with us. Your child’s key person will quickly get to know your child, their interests and learning styles as well as how best to comfort and nurture them. We like to think of it as a champion for your child, a voice to ensure the early years provision is meeting the needs of your child. 


We work very hard to make sure the most suitable member of staff is assigned to your child. Once the key person is allocated they will contact you through many means; email, telephone conversation, face to face meeting, virtual platform or garden visits to your home. We value your inside knowledge of your child and will often ask for your understanding of their development so we can ensure we have a well rounded view of them and can support their learning and care better.
