Pinvin Community Pre-school was established back in 1992, when local lady, Sue, was trying to find child care for her own family, after not finding anything suitable she set up a small playgroup running from a shed. Over the years Pinvin Community Pre-school has evolved and moved from a mother and toddler group to where we are today.
Pinvin Community Pre-school is a registered charity (700766), overseen by a committee of elected parents who support the manager and her team in the short and long-term goals of the pre-school. We are Ofsted registered (205324), and follow the Early years foundation stage curriculum (EYFS).
We run from the heart of the village in Pinvin Memorial Hall directly opposite Pinvin first school, although we are a pack-away setting we are very lucky to be the main user of the building, the hall offers us flexibility in how we can adapt the environment for individual children and our location allows us to explore the local community with ease.
We are currently working alongside the Memorial Hall committee to plan and design a new building from which Pre-school can run, we are still in the planning stages and will soon begin an extensive fundraising campaign to fund the very best building for our community. If you can help or support us in anyway we would love to hear from you, we are currently looking for new members to join our committee and ideas for fundraising and crowd funding.
